Christy is the youngest of 8 children. Along with her siblings, she too was born at APCH and has been a resident of Allen Parish since. She is from Grant, LA and is a graduate of Fairview High School. She has been in the medical field since 1998 and has been a nurse since 2009. She obtained her LPN diploma in 2009, then went on to obtain her Associate from Northwestern State University and a Bachelor degree from McNeese State University. Christy became part of the APCH family in November of 2022 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a background in Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Hospice, and Home Health management. Christy currently is on the APH executive team and a member of the Service Excellence Council and OASIS teams of APCH. Christy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jacob, for 25 years, and is a mother to her three children, Maddisen, Courtlyn, and Dayne Martin. Her biggest joy is spending time with her grandson, Emmett. She loves the outdoors and enjoys fishing, hunting, rodeoing, and, of course, shopping!
