Amy is a dynamic, collaborative, innovative senior executive. She also possesses academic experience and is a service-line creator in addition to being a community educator with a wealth of acute hospital experience. Amy has been an influential change agent in leading teams to create innovative delivery models and elevate nursing practice through shared accountability. Amy comes to us from Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois where she served in senior nursing roles. She began her career as an open heart nurse in the CVICU with experience in the fresh recovery, cardio-thoracic/cardio-vascular trauma, cardiac catheter lab recovery, and ICU trauma. While her extensive knowledge is based in critical and intensive care nursing services, she has years of experience in hardwiring foundational leadership, decreasing turnover rates, quality growth expansion, creating and implementing a patient discharge call center. She also has clinical care coordination focusing on patient throughput and community outreach education as a Heart and Vascular service line coordinator. Amy has a Bachelor's in Nursing from Blessing Reiman College of Nursing in Quincy, Illinois. Amy's work includes building Patient Care Team Models, Patient Safety and assisting organizations on their journey to Magnet accreditation. Amy is the recipient of Nursing Excellence 2020 International Daisy Nurse Leader Award. This award highlights Amy's unique brand of leadership along with her consistent role model values, behaviors, and fostering a culture of compassion and safety. She shares her vision through the collaboration of the patients, families, and clinical staff where she exudes endless amounts of enthusiasm for quality nursing, along with promoting the organization and evidence-based nursing practice.
